Materials and Texturing in Maya

1. Just playing around with basic color and finish options in the hypershade menu.
2. Using ramps to drive material channels

3.Adding multiple materials to an object. I created materials for whole areas and also for individual faces.
4. Getting groovy with procedure textures
5. Trying to figure out UV's. I don't think it is supposed to look like this...
6. Used the ramp shader tool to add different effects with colorization to the ship canopy.
7. Adding textures from files. My UV mapping is definitely messed up because my ship looks like it went muddin,  But at least I know how to export the UV image, paint in photoshop or a similar program, and then import back in through the hypershade menu.
8. I never did get my UV mapping to layout correctly so I downloaded his file and then re-added the texturing.
